[ An immersive storytelling and food sampling experience at the intersection of food culture and literature]
The aim is to explore and discuss traditional and contemporary themes as illustrated in African literature – what’s preserved and why? And finally, we ‘taste’ the books – both as indicated in literature or conjured as visual representations of the key themes. Like Jollof money bags from Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, where one of the themes explored is the search for greener pastures – leaving Nigeria to the United States for a better life.
